There was a crisp cold in the air. The sun was setting, and
the newly grown leaves of the spring trees rustled from the oncoming storms
blow. Soon, it was to rain upon the Eastern Kingdoms, one of the first full
storms of the new spring.
Jabbles found himself caught in the storm, making his way to
the Blue Recluse. Water dripped off his armor as he walked in. The smell of
food and drinks brought a warmth to him, warding off the chill of the storms
now blowing through the city. Wiping water off his forehead, he walked to the
bar, giving a wave to the barkeep who returned a friendly smile. Jabbles was no
stranger to this tavern, as the barkeep was already pouring the usual, a mug of
bourbon. Jabbles raised his mug to the barkeep, and took a sip, turning around
to lean on the bar. There, he saw, one of the most stunning Elves.
There she was, leaning against the wall. A bluish coloured
hair verging on green, like that of the ocean itself. Eyes of blue, like the
bright sky of a summer day. He was drawn to her. He liked Elves before, but
this, was something else.
Jabbles put his coin on the bar and walked over to the girl.
“’Ello” he says, raising his mug to her.
“Hello” stated Cyn in a cold monotone voice.
“What brings you ‘round these parts?” Asked Jabbles, before
taking a sip from his mug, a smile on his face.
“It’s raining outside.. Why else would I be inside?” Cyn stated quickly, with a scoff.
“Just trying to make some friendly small talk” He says,
keeping a smile. “If it wasn’t raining, then, what would you be doing?”
“Fighting” Cyn stated after a moment’s pause.
“Fighting? A girl like you?” Jabbles asked with a curiosity.
“Of course!” stated Cyn with a cold growl “I’m certain I
could mop you across the floor!”
Jabbles chuckled at the notion. He took a sip of his
bourbon, then shook his head.
“Oh!? You don’t think I could take you on, ‘Old man’?” Cyn
growled to Jabbles.
Jabbles slowly put his mug on the table next to them,
looking her in the eyes “Oh, is that so?”
“Indeed it is” Cyn stated in an angry tone.
“Fine..” Jabbles said with a sigh. He turned around and
motioned to Cyn to follow “We’ll head to the Cellar.”
Cyn blinked, not expecting Jabbles to actually accept her
offer to fight. A devilish smirk came across her face. Oh how easy this would
be!
As they reached the cellar, the two unarmed themselves and
stood across from one another. Cyn ran towards Jabbles, in hopes to tackle him.
Jabbles, however, wasn’t the most orthodox of fighters. He pulled off his glove
and threw it into Cyns face, stumbling her in the process. Jabbles chuckling as
she fell.
“Expect the unexpected!” taunted Jabbles as he walked over
to her, leaning down to see if she was alright.
‘Expect the unexpected indeed..’ thought Cyn, anger filling
her face.
Cyn stood up and grabbed Jabbles by the chest piece throwing
him to the floor and straddling him. She stared in his eyes for a moment
before, suddenly, kissing him.
Jabbles eyes widened in confusion. ‘This is the best fight
I’ve ever had!’ he thought to himself. Jabbles was not a man to deny a woman, giving in to Cyns “anger”.
Cyn kissed down Jabbles neck, tauntingly rubbing herself on
top of him. No man had actually taken her up on such a fight before. They
always assume that “fighting” meant battle, not one of the more physical interactions.
Cyn draws her hand across his cheek as she moved down Jabbles body, tugging
gently at his pants.
“Let’s see what blade you really wield” stated Cyn with a
smirk.
Cyn woke up, the sound of thunders roar raging across the
sky. Her window had flown open from the storm. Upon turning around from closing
it, lightning flashed across the sky. In her bed, she could see a sleeping
Jabbles. A smile.. across his face.
