The Fall of Durnamis

"Master! Look! Durnamis has accepted my gift!" The girl smiles as she held out the glowing crystal of dazzling rainbow colors, always shifting and changing.
"That is well and done.. But you must return to your studies..." An older woman says, her robes of white swaying as she ushers the student into a crystal capsule.
"Yes Master..." The girl frowns as her eyes close and she sleeps within the purple rock.
That was the day the streets ran red. Sirens blared all over the city as the stonework began to crumble and collapse. Citizens screaming and running for their lives, heading towards the base of the temple steps and begging for refuge. They would find no salvation.

September Second, year Thirty,

The days continue, it has been many moons since that fallen day. Still no word from the others who escaped in the pods, though I have found more of the shattered crystals.. Will Durnamis ever be whole again? I doubt highly.. Moros has revealed himself.. Death.. The gift that was given unto Master Stelaria. I feel as though that gift, upon taking her from her life, also stole away what little emotion I could hold. That mocking attitude of his, always muttering about bringing her back. The crystal of life, it will never return, not without lives being lost. Those pawns have defied their leader and are moving on their own marks, trying to check mate an enemy they cannot see from above. Bah! To hell with them! They have made their choice, now I will destroy them like the scourge they are. The planet was torn asunder due to their selfishness, now it is up to me to reform it. I can still hear her voice nagging me, "What of the lives of those here?" To hell with their lives. They have lived eons more then they deserve. They squabble over petty land that should be open to all for everything. Sacrificing a few lives to reform a planet of purity and peace is much more of a deal then to latch myself to these people.

Heart of Battle (P2): The Fallen Ones

Days had past, and Sheikaris had learned of the dark horrors that had befallen his student.
"She has fallen into darkness again..." Sheikaris said as he paced the living room floor, the fireplace flickering.
"No... She has become captive in a world not her own." Alex says, sipping her tea with a grimace.
Mindee enters the room, "The children are asleep.. We need a battle plan. What was the name of that man that her daughter said?"
"Thantos Poneros." Sheikaris speaks, still pacing the floor.
"Hm.. Strange. In all of her letters she never mentioned a man named Thantos, or that Nazard had passed away. Something is wrong here." Mindee says, crossing her arms and staring at the fire in thought.
"We should just go find 'er." Alex says, setting her cup on the table beside her.
"Too dangerous in your state." Sheik moves to her side, "Someone needs to stay with the children, you are in no state to fight."
"I am no' gonna stay 'ere while Rima needs 'elp." Alex flicks his forehead.
"You saw her during her darkness.. She could kill you." Sheik frowns, rubbing his forehead.
"Alex was the one who snapped her out of the darkness though.. Maybe she should come." Mindee speaks up.
Before Sheikaris could argue, a knock on the door caused the room to grow silent and added tension to the air. Mindee walks over to open the door, only to be sprayed by a strange gas that caused her to hit the ground unconscious.
"Mindee!" Sheikaris reaches for his sword on the rack that had been bolted to the wall.
"We have come for our sister, Kari." A boy's voice said from the doorway, stepping over the gnome woman.
Standing before Sheik and Alex was a San'lyn boy; His skin pale and ashen, his eyes silver like Rima's but his lips were bright red as if fresh with blood. His canines were fangs and his nails were like claws. He wore black leather attire and boots with metal spikes.
"Hand over Kari." The boy said with little emotion as two more brothers stepped inside.
"You are Rima's sons?" Sheik readied his blades.
"I am Niko, the Eldest son of Death and the Holder." The boy says, "Now, where is our sister?"
"Resting. What did you do to Mindee?" Sheikaris's eyes never moved from the boys.
"She is merely sleeping." Niko nodded towards her, "Though I could change that if I desired. Now. Give us Kari!"
"We are not your enemies you know." Sheik growled.
"We are aware, but she was not to wander off." Niko pulls a pistol from its holster on his side and aimed it towards Mindee.
"Enough!" Alex shouted, "Both of you, enough with the pissing contest."
The boys blink, Sheikaris gives Alex a side long glance. Alex stands, careful not to fall over. A voice begins laughing.
"Pregnant again, Alex? Is it another pair of twins? Not running off this time now are ya?" the laughter continued.
"Rima quit toying around." Alex says as she moves to rest a hand over Sheik's.
Rima stepped forward, "Seems my sons really are terrible at this whole negotiation thing.. Definitely need to train them better."
"Mother! You were to wait outside!" Niko frowns.
"Yeah and you weren't supposed to knock Mindee out, but you did that anyways." Rima scolds him before smacking him upside the head.
"Your sons have about as much temper as their uncle." Alex snickers before moving to hug her old friend.
"Yeah.. No idea where they got that from." Rima laughs, the boys putting their weapons away with a pout.
"So dramatic, wonder where they got that bit from? You were more of the blunt then dramatic." Alex taunts before returning to her seat on the couch.
"Shut the door would you, Connor? And Junior! Pick your aunt off the floor, that was rude of you to test your invention on her." Rima walks over and sits on the arm of the couch.
The boys scramble to do as told.
"So... How are you two?" Rima smirks towards Sheik.
