Happy Birthday AU

The night sky twinkled brilliantly overhead as the group set up camp. Campfire crackling and nothing but sounds of nature around. Men and women began patrols and kept a look out as a handful tended to the fire. The brown haired hulk of a man sat on a log, probing the fire with a stick. His thoughts weighed heavily on his mind as he stared at the blaze. Quietly, a slightly smaller elven woman sat beside him. She slipped off her chainmail gauntlets and moved her hands towards the fire. She was shivering and her inky blue hair fell from her shoulder as she leaned forward. The man paused to look at her, taking her in. He had known her for sometime, and knew she was easily frightened.

"Wouldn't have thought you'd be out here." Khadorek spoke softly.

She continued to shiver, "Someone has to help track void signatures."

"Ah." Khad pursed his lips, peering back at the fire as his thoughts churned, before finally speaking, "So.. When's your birthday?"

The woman blinks, "Mine? Not until November twenty-seventh."

"I see." It was clear he wanted to speak more.

Aleana looked at him, "When is yours?"

"Today, actually." He muttered quietly.

"Oh!" Aleana's eyes went wide, "Happy Birthday!"

"Thanks." He glanced away from her.

"We should celebrate!" She offers a bright smile.

"Eh, it's nothing worth celebrating." Khad grumbled.

She shook her head, "Nonsense!"

Standing, she reached to tug on his rather large arms.

"Come on! Let's go!" She insisted.

He stood and let her drag him, "Where are we going?"

"Somewhere special!" She giggles as she leads him up a hill and out of sight of the camp.

He raised a brow at that.

Soon they made it to a hill and tree atop it. She points up at him to show it was blooming with flower buds.

"Isn't it beautiful?" Her smile was large as she looks at him.

"Quite." He stated, and for a moment felt clarity.

"Can I confess something to you?" Aleana asked quietly.

"Of course." Khad peered into her violet eyes.

"That first day we met.. I..." She began turning dark shades of purple.

"You?" He raised a brow once more.

"I.. wanted to kiss you." She was flushed dark purple.

He felt the blood rush to his face at her confession of affection. Thoughts whirled as the two stood there in awkward silence. With a fast beating of his heart, Khad reached a hand to freely brush her hair behind her ear before leaning in to plant his lips against hers. Her eyes went wide before reaching a hand to cup his cheek as her lids close to enjoy the kiss between the two of them. His muscular hands brushed her cheeks before gently gripping them to hold the kiss. Soon, as the moment continued to heat up, Aleana's slender arms draped over his shoulders as she reached up on her tiptoes.

A low whistle erupted near by that startled the duo out of it, both their faces glowing hot from embarrassment. Jabbles stood nearby on the hill and began clapping.

"Woo! You get her, Khad!" He whooped and hollared.

The two quickly returned to camp, thanks to Jabbles immense Cockblocking Power.

Smutfic?: Bro Code (Khad x Jabbles)

Inspiration Song: No Homo

Khadorek sighs in frustration as he punched a target dummy.

"What's up Khad?" Jabbles raised a brow.

"Man why'd you cockblock me last night? I was FINALLY making a move." Khad turned to scowl at him, lip curling into a pout.

"Cause Bro Code man." Jabbles said matter-of-factly.

"Where in Bro Code does it say to cockblock?" Khad raised a brow.

Jabbles stepped up to the young Valajar, pulling him into his arms as one hand gripped his chin, "Where it says Bros before Hoes. And Bro, you're my world, so fuck that Hoe."

"J-Jabbles. This isn't funny." Khad began blushing as red as a tomato.

"Who said I was joking?" Jabbles waggled his brows.

Smutfic: Bourbon Candy (Jabbles x Alice)

The sun shone brightly through the clear windows of the Redridge Inn. Outside the maple colored leaves fluttered in the wind as an autumn breeze blew past. Sitting at the bar on a spinning red leathered chair was the infamous James "Jabbles" Katan. His auburn hair up in it's usual ponytail as his blue gloved hand lifted the silver canteen to his lips. Brown liquid slips from his lips as a bit misses his lips. The chain mail beneath his plate clinked together as he shifts in his seat.

With a clicking of heels, the sound of someone walking behind him was heard. He would turn his head and slowly drink in the sight before him. The long legs with leather hugging tightly, the lace tied boots, the form hugging corset, all of it befalling the visage that was known as Alice. Her snowy locks in their usual upswept mohawk.

"Haven't seen you in awhile." Jabbles spoke, garnering a goofy grin.

Alice laughs softly, "That it has been. How have you been, Jabbles?"

"Been alright, bit bored these days." Jabbles remarked.

A smirk danced on her soft pink lips, "Well I'm sure we could fix that."

Noting her growing grin, Jabbles raised a brow, "And what would you suggest?"

She would move to sit on the bar, using her legs to tug his waist towards her, "A little training in stamina perhaps?"

Jabs let out a chuckle as he set his canteen to the side before resting his hands on her hips. "Sounds like a plan."

Without hesitation they slipped out of their armor, his lips softly kissing along her neck as her hands explored his muscles. His muscled hands pulled her tight against his waist as he trailed kisses down her chest. Soon her nails began to elongate into sharpened claws as she clawed his back, marking him with scars to remind him of her. His teeth sank into her skin, leaving his own marks while his hand reared back and slapped her thigh, leaving a red hand print. Their bodies were connected in unity and their grunts and moans echoed through the inn.

The innkeeper refused to come out of the back and just muttered, "Not again.."

Smutfic: Happy Birthday (Khad x Aleana)

Inspiration Song: Dead Girl Walking

His muscular hands brushed her cheeks before gently gripping them to hold the kiss. Soon, as the moment continued to heat up, Aleana's slender arms draped over his shoulders as she reached up on her tiptoes.

Without further hesitation he soon found himself pushing her gently into the tree bark, their make out growing more intense before he finds his hands wandering her body and gripping the back of her knee and hooking it to his hip. The sound of pleasure arose from her throat as her fingers curled and gripped the back of his shirt. Soon Aleana found herself moving without much thought as her legs wrapped around his waist and a hand curled in his hair as he gripped her ass to hold her up. His hand curled in her hair as soft moans of their make out escaped both of them.

Soon the lust of anothers' affection had overcome the duo. With his brute strength, Khad had torn the woman's shirt off and in one swift movement, she had removed his. Layers of their clothes stripped in a matter of moments as their bare bodies graced each other for the first time. Soon their moans began to rise through the night air as they marked each other. Her nails trailing red marks down his back, his teeth mark leaving bruises on her neck and chest. Tongues playing with one another as moans are muffled by lips. The moon lighting their skins as sweat beaded down. Eventually they laid beneath the tree together, the cold no longer bothering either of them as they pant and catch their breaths.

With a smile as she shuddered from excess pleasure, she let out a purr of, "Happy Birthday."

Chips are Down

Chips Are Down

Songbird versus Rattlesnake

The dust settled over the dark cobblestone room of the tower. Charlotte was on her hands and knees, her chest rising and falling as she gasped for air. The bodies of the others surrounding her as their souls floated above her former Master. Vaul's lips curled into a smirk as he crouched before her.

"What is it?" Charlotte let out a weak laugh, "Finish me."

"Now why would I do that to my apprentice? I know you would never do this foolish plan unless someone had tricked you." Vaul moved to grip her by the chin.

Charlotte was a hungry young girl. She had longed for power of vengeance. Vaul had originally been her key.. Yet now, she wanted something more.

Vaul chuckled, "I know what you truly want, my child. So here, take it. Your ticket."

Vaul gave her a choice to make. A ticket to another world. One where she would be feared and would have powers she never dreamed of.

"All you have to do is choose. Choose to rule over this pathetic lot, at the sacrifice of HIS soul... Or save him, and condemn the rest of their souls to me." Vaul continued, his old eyes gleaming.

"What happens to their souls should I give them to you?" She spoke shakily.

"I'll devour them for power, of course." His grin grew broad.

She could already hear their souls yelling at her not to, but three stood out more so then the rest.

Kaneka's voice rose above, "Life ain't easy."

"Life ain't fair." Zane's voice overcame.

"A girl's gotta fight for her rightful share." Lyan continues, "Power must be grasped with your own hands."

What you gonna do when the chips are down!
Now that the chips are down!
What you gonna do when the chips are down!
Now that the chips are down!

The voices all wailed in her ear.

"Help yourself-" Zane's voice spoke up again, her soul floating over, "Flee and gather reinforcements."

"We'll be fine. No one will blame you and if they do, to hell with the rest!" Lyan tried to assure her.

"Everyone will understand your choice, Even the one who loves you best." Kaneka whispered in her ear.

What you gonna do when the chips are down!
Now that the chips are down!
What you gonna do when the chips are down!
Now that the chips are down!

Their words echoed in her ear, she knew they would say that but never mean it. They had hated her from day one.

"Oh my aching heart." Charlotte clutched her chest as she shook her head.

"Struggling, my apprentice?" Vaul watched her closely.

What you gonna do when the chips are down!
Now that the chips are down!

"Take if you can.. his amulet! That's what helps him control all our souls right?" Lyan suggested.

"You have to stall all you can, give if you must but keep him distracted!" Zane commented.

"She can't trust his word. Ain’t nobody but yourself to trust." Kaneka spoke up.

Vaul tilts his head as he gruffly asks, "What will you do when the chips are down?"

Now that the chips are down!
What you gonna do when the chips are down!
Now that the chips are down!

"Aim for the heart!" Lyan posed.

Zane jumped onto it, "Shoot to kill!"

"If you don't do it then the other one will." Kaneka agreed.

There was no way she could take on Vaul. She knew that, yet staring at him, how close he was.. A small glimmer of hope. She could strike him in his heart but... Could she really take down her own teacher?

What you gonna do when the chips are down!
Now that the chips are down!
What you gonna do when the chips are down!
Now that the chips are down!

She could hear every voice around her chanting, yet droning out. Soon her own inner demon spoke in her ear.

And the first shall be first
And the last shall be last
Cast your eyes to heaven
You get a knife in the back

Nobody’s righteous
Nobody’s proud
Nobody’s innocent

She stared at the ground in fury. She was helpless. If she was to try any large casting, she would surely die and take everyone with her. But if she didn't, he would kill them all and devour their souls. What is she to do?

Now that the chips are down!

She had to think of something fast.

Now that the-

She had only one shot.

 Now that the-

She slipped her bracelets off in one small move.

 Now that the-

She charged the surge of arcane power into her hand and grabbed his amulet that stored the souls, overpowering it with power till it cracked and shattered.

Now that the-

Mana burns ran up her hands and body as she fell to the ground, her eyes lifeless, her soul disintegrated, and the others returning to their bodies.

Now that the chips are down!

Curses and Broken Hearts

Lightning crackled, and the windows flew open. Thunder crashed through the air. Standing before Eve, was a woman cloaked in black.
"For the crimes you have committed.." She began, "You will have your world come crumbling down, by your own hands."
Raising her hand, the woman began to chant, shadows collecting in her open palm. Throwing the door open, Moria rushed in with Warlund behind her.
"Eve!" Moria shouts, moving to try and charge at the woman.
Eve glared up at the stranger as chains kept her bound into a kneeling position.
"Your tools of destruction come, 'Lady' Daniels." The woman purred, before turning her hand towards Moria and Warlund.
Eve pushed herself up enough to try and knock the woman over, but fell too late. The shadows sprung forth but were only altered enough that they struck Moria. Falling the ground, the druidess gasped for air as the shadows went into her mouth, nose, and ears. Warlund stepped forward, gripping the hilt of his sword and took a swing at the stranger. A cackle echoed through the chambers as she dispersed into shadows.
"It's too late, your happiness is forfeit." Was all they could hear before everything fell silent.
"Eve! Are you alright?" Warlund spoke in his deep tone, moving to break the chains off.
"Damn bitch." Eve growled quietly, "What did she do to Moria?"
The duo looked at the unconscious woman, expecting something to happen. With a groan, she awoke, holding her head.
"Ow." Was all she muttered before sitting up, her gaze shifting around the room.
Stepping forward hesitantly, Eve eyed her friend, "How are you feeling?"
"Like I'm gonna vomit." Moria grumbled, standing up with a wobble.
Eve let out a laugh, "At least that is all. Come on, let's go get you checked out."
Moria gave a nod, her eyes casting a glance towards Warlund. Without them noticing, a rune appeared on Moria's lower back, black as the shadows that had entered her. A twitch came to her eye but she let Eve lead her away.
Kill him. Kill the monster who has brought strife and hardship to this world. KILL HIM.
Moria shook her head and her mind whirled with ways to end the man's life as the healers cleared her.
"Well, at least that dramatic bitch is gone. Seems the wedding will continue on like normal." Moria smiles at Eve, squeezing her friend's hands.
Eve snickers, but Warlund speaks up, "I'm having more guards surround the area. Don't need a repeat of tonight."
Moria waves him off before leaving the home.
Days later...
"Where is she? I can't do this without her. I shouldn't feel this way. By the shadows, I think I'm gonna be sick." Eve ranted nervously, her white gown swishing with every movement.
"You will be fine, My Lady. Perhaps she just got sick?" Hannah tried to quell her mistress's nerves.
Hearing the music begin, Eve took a breath. She gave a nod to Hannah and began her march down the aisle. As the couple exchanged vows, everything began to go wrong.
"If there are any who do not believe these two should be wed, speak now or forever hold your peace." The officiator spoke.
Suddenly the guards were blasted across the area, falling next to the cliff edge.
"I object." A feral growl escaped Moria's lips.
Eve and Warlund snapped their heads to look at her. She was covered in blood, and her eyes were red to match.
"Moria! What is the meaning of this?" Eve hissed towards her.
Holding her hands to her sides, the ground began to rumble before roots bursted through the earth and wrapped around Warlund.
"I will kill the monster, just as I have killed his steed. Now he will meet his end with no way to run." Moria retorted to her friend, her nose twitching.
Reaching behind her, Eve grabbed a dagger and tried to cut the vines off of Warlund.
