Other Friends

[Inspo]

Norris had been left pacing in agitation. Even after all the steps and trials to prove to Seth that he is worth his love- he still came up empty. With the slight prompt from Zara, he finally lost all control and decided if Seth won't love him while the rest were around... Then he'd remove the rest.

The Isles had a darkness beginning to cloud the sky as void began collecting. Isaars, Ana, Darek, Rawley, and Asha moved to begin preparing for whatever hell would be coming. They were the most equipped for any void related shenanigans. The other Captains moored in the bay began the procedures to get civilians to safety and Alissa made sure to keep them all in check so there would be no funny business during the struggle.

"Oh cousin~." The void tainted voice rang out over the Bravemoon Region. "I've come to take my toy back."

Standing in the center of the village, surrounded by blood and with Akando's beaten form laying in the sand, Norris stood with his blonde hair tainted black and red.

"Great the lunatic has lost his mind." Ana said as she summoned her blade.

Darek's hands began glowing uncontrollably with Light.

"You know we can't let you get away with this, Norris." Isaars growled out as he felt overwhelming void radiating off the elf.

"Oh I see the hussy is here.. And the wolfie. Isn't that just.. SWELL. Makes tracking them down easier." Norris began laughing maniacly.

Rawley shifted into his worgen form and stepped in front of Asha as the woman began to summon void tendrils.

"This has to be some mistake. We don't need to fight you-" Darek tried to reason.

"Yea yea, I've heard it all before. I'm taking back what's -mine-. Now where is he?" Powerful waves of void energy went out in all directions, causing the Light to flare up in Darek.

"Away from you." Ana barked at him before in a blur she was in front of him and swinging her sword.

"Give him back!" Norris caught her blade with a hand shrouded in void before sending her flying back.

"Ana!" Isa and Darek shouted in alarm, though Isa seemed less concerned as he saw her teleport and land on her feet.

"Who is this guy?!" Darek tried to sling Light towards the man.

Norris's brow twitched, "Who am I?" The Light hit the Void and sizzled before fading. "WHO AM I?!" His voice rang out before he was suddenly in front of the Paladin, "What are you even saying? I'm the loser of the game you didn't even know you were playing!" And with that, he threw the paladin at Akando, "Let's play a new game where I get to win. Where -I- get the prince!"

Isaars shadowstepped behind his 'cousin' and tried to put him in a choke hold, "Enough." He ordered.

Asha's tendrils tried to wrap around Norris to bind his arms to the ground.

"Hehe.. Enough?" Norris sneered, before Asha let out a scream of pain as her tendrils turned back on her, stabbing her through the back and another tried to stab Isaars but he teleported in time.

"Asha!" Rawley turned to look to the fallen elf.

"BASTARD!" Ana screamed at Norris, "Darek take Akando and get out of here.. NOW."

"But Ana-"

"NOW!!!" Ana ordered as she threw a ring at him before being engulfed in void flames.

Darek felt his arm bleeding from the Light flaring again. There was too much Void for him to remain here. He grabbed Akando and used the ring to teleport the two of them to Alissa's ship.

Isaars tried to shoot at the Magister, but found magic barriers stopping it from contact. "Damn it."

"I should've known you'd side with some rats." Norris glared at the human, "Let's remind you what you stole from me."

Ana slammed into the elf, toppling him to the ground. She growled something out in Shath'yar as she summoned a void blade. The Magi scowled at the woman as the void entity took more control to protect him from the blade as he tried to set her on fire. The black flames licked at her skin but found no purchase.

"Ana don't!" Isa tried to order.

"Kill him you damn witch!" Rawley countered, carefully trying to pull Asha from the tangle of tendrils.

"SILENCE!" The void rang out- from who was unclear. Isaars, Rawley, and Asha found themselves suddenly on Isa's ship.

"DAMN IT ANA!" He slammed his fist into the wood but found himself unable to leave from the barrier.

"Stupid slut." Norris remarked as Ana spit blood on his face, during her spell of teleportation, he had managed to impale her with her own blade.

"Manwhore." She retorted as the sand turned as black as night.

Vixil and others could sense the growing void, and one such entity returned to Isaars.

"What?" Isa's eyes went wide as he heard their whispers, informing him of the danger about to befall.

Vlad turned his head as he heard cracking glass in his home. Going to the chamber holding Ivan, he saw the enchanted glass beginning to crack and spiderweb.

Ana's eyes turned from black to red as a maniacal grin spread across her lips. Her and Norris locked in void battle as blood began to pour from the sky.

Plagues (Fanfiction)

[Song Inspiration]

Zara had taken hold of the Norae'thuls and company, along with imprisoning the Solarnleafs and her own daughter as she deemed to take control and 'correct' the wrongs she felt the two opposing families had done to her. The house of Cindergleam was under the young woman's control and none dared opposed her, all believing that Lady Mirith had killed herself when Darian had broken the items containing her memories. Word claimed that the memories had overwhelmed the head of house, but no one could find what happened to her.

Zara had ordered for Maron and Darian to be strung to the walls and prepare the rest for live entombment. Clouds charged with shadow and void had begun collecting over the Cindergleam land and a purple tint had polluted the waters. The beautiful gardens began dying out and panic was arising as no one could solve what had caused it. Soon spirits began appearing around the land and Zara's wrath only grew as she looked out from one of the walls.

Amongst the darkness that had begun to stir and ensnare the land, a shining relic of the past emerged. Glowing with the fury of the Holy Light, Mirith stood, having dawned ancient ancestral armor. Zara's lips curled into a snarl, arcane weaving around her as her armor appeared on her body.

"Let them go, Zaranea. Do not make me fight you, sister." Mirith's voice boomed over the land.

"Like hell." Zara spat back, "Guards, prepare them for execution."

I send a pestilence and plague
Into your house, into your bed
Into your streams, into your streets
Into your drink, into your bread
Upon your cattle, on your sheep
Upon your oxen in your field
Into your dreams, into your sleep
Until you break, until you yield
I send the swarm, I send the horde
Thus saith the Light

Mirith began to tread towards the walls, arrows raining around her but any that would hit would be turned to ash. "Once I called you sister,  Once I thought the chance to make you laugh... Was all I ever wanted."

I send the thunder from the sky
I send the fire raining down.

Tears burned on her cheeks as hail came from the sky and flames rose behind her steps, "And even now I wish that Light had chose another. Serving as your foe on its behalf is the last thing that I wanted."

I send a hail of burning ice
On ev'ry field, on ev'ry town

With an upturned hand, the gates of the estate were sent flying off with a blast of Light, causing civilians and guards to scatter to hide. "This was my home. All this pain and devastation, How it tortures me inside. All the innocent who suffer, From your stubbornness and pride!"

I send the locusts on the wind
Such as the world has never seen
On ev'ry leaf, on ev'ry stalk
Until there's nothing left of green
I send my scourge, I send my sword
Thus saith the Light

Treants began to rise from the falling garden to begin attacking from behind, trying to take down guards. "You who I called sister, Why must you call down another blow?" The doors of the manner were thrown open by shadow charged winds.

I send my scourge, I send my sword

"Let my people go." Mirith ordered, staring up at her sister who was at the top of the stairs with her bow. "Thus saith the Light."

Zara grit her teeth, eyes glowing blue with arcane energy, "You who I called sister.. How could you have come to hate me so? Is this what you wanted?!"

I send the swarm, I send the horde.

The huntress unleashed a volley of arrows before shadows consumed both the sisters and took them out of the house and out into the gardens where flames rose, treants and guards fought. Seeing the chaos Mirith had wrought, Zara felt her anger rising.

"Then let my heart be hardened! And never mind how high the cost may grow! This will still be so:
I will never let your people go!" Zara shouted at Mirith as arcane arrows and both Light and Shadow began to twine and fight.

Thus saith the Light...

"Thus saith the Light." Mirith stated as her expression was grim as Zara was backed onto the edge of a cliff.

"I will not-" Zara began, gripping her bow with shakey hands.

"Let my people go." Mirith ordered, a hand rising as Zara felt her body no longer her own, forcing her to her knees and to drop the weapon.

Guards tried to run to stop Mirith but their bodies suddenly froze too. The clouds and poisoned water began to Lighten and purify. Treants moved to unlock the cells of those imprisoned and Light and Shadow wrapped around the Paladin and San'layn and helped them down from their chains.

"You fell to corruption, Sister. I will set you free now." Mirith raised her scythe, tears escaping and blackened from magic. The Light from the ancestral relic grew and burned before summoning a pillar of Light around Zaranea's body.

"Mirith no!" Darian shouted, though kept far from that which would burn him.

As the pillar collapsed in on itself, Zaranea's body fell limp and her eyes closed. The two women's crimson hair began fading into platinum blonde as shadows fled into the air from Zara before being absorbed into a ring on Mirith's hand.

"She will live." Mirith called to Darian, "Hopefully I can do right, this time."

With that, the priestess fell to her knees and all could move again. Blood pouring from her nose, ears, and eyes. Magic comes with a price.

Fall of Enzeciel

[Inspiration and Battle Tunes]

Backstory: Lissi is the youngest of twelve siblings that grew under a power hungry father. This father went so far as to use his children as experiments, leaving only Enzeciel and Lissiana alive as 'successes'. Driven to insanity, Their father and Enzeciel set to kill the noble families of the Silvermoon court. Failing, and later dying the maddened duo were thought to be a distant memory. Sadly was not the case. Enzeciel in a last breath of defiance had placed a spell on Lissiana- or more importantly, the control chip that she had been 'gifted' by their father. Having caused terror and panic through it, it had finally reached a dangerous point... How will it go?

The battle against the C'thraxxi had been bothersome and left the group sitting back to recover after skirmishs the last few days. The city that held their old god master was festering with shadows and faceless ones and leaving little promise of comfort.

"How are you boys holding up?" Lissiana inquired as she peered around a corner, checking the way was clear.

"Just about as well as you'd expect." Replied Centari with a tired breath.

"Reassuring." Liss snickered, "We're almost to base then you can all take a nap."

The group kept quiet as they grumbled amongst one another. Slowly slinking along the ruined stones as they tried to make their way across the city outskirts. As they came into view of the hill that hid the rest of the force, they felt a pit in their stomach as they saw a group of faceless ones and a C'thraxxi stomping towards it.

"Crap." Annette cursed, "We gotta hurry! Fixit is still there!"

"He's not the only one." Lissi clicked her heels together, activating the mini rockets to jump and fly towards the incoming enemy.

Anne began to sprint before jumping over a crumbled wall and down through a black shadow on the ground, disappearing from sight. Centari sighed at the special theatrics of the two women before sprinting after them, moving a hand to the hilt of his sword while Light began gathering around him. Daen'niell let his head drop because Light Damn It More Sprinting? Before racing after.

"Hey Ugly!" Lissi shouted before slamming her foot into a faceless one, causing it to stumble.

The marching group turned as the sin'dorei woman landed after backflipping off the creature's face.

"I'm stressed and angry, let's dance." Lissi flipped her hair over her shoulder before drawing her blades.

"You're always stressed." Annette stated as she appeared behind a faceless one, blades stabbed into its back as she hung on.

"Can you blame me? I gotta keep saving your asses." Lissi jumped back and away from a slam attack. "We're still saving people!"

Gunshots rang out to pepper the faceless beside Annette.

"Hey careful where you're shooting!" Anne shouts up at the camp before ripping her blades out of her ride and quickly moving backwards.

The sound of Fixit rang out in response, "Sorry!" Before another round of gunshots rang out, causing black blood to spill everywhere from the minions of the Old Gods.

"You two are such children." Lissi rolled her eyes, cutting across the chest of a faceless one.

"And you need to pay attention." Centari snarked as he jumped down from a rock to slash a holy blade down on a creeping minion to guard Liss' back.

"I had it." Lissi huffed at the man, "But whatever, thanks."

Centari chuckled as he blocked a blow, "What did we say about admitting you're wrong?"

"That I clearly need to punch you again for thinking I'm wrong." She laughed in return, backing up against him as she tried to block another slam.

"I hate you both." Anne grumbled as she kept trying to avoid being hit.

"Love you too." Centari called to her before shoving the minion back.

Lissi let out a yelp, falling to a knee as she tried to keep the Faceless One from crushing her, having forced her to drop her daggers to just hold up it's slimy tentacle fist.

"Getting cocky again?" The familiar voice rang out before the crush was lifted as the minion fell to its death.

"About time you showed up." Lissi spoke as she took a breath,"What were you waiting for a heroic entrance, Van?"

Lissi couldn't hear Van as she gripped her head, feeling a spark in the chip as she grit her teeth. "Not now."

"Heads up!" Fixit shouted, landing with a goblin pack on a cliffside to get a better aim.

"That thing is charging!" Daen'niell shouted as he slammed a smite into one minion.

Glancing up, the C'thraxxi was seen building up void energy.

Anne's ears pressed against her head, "We gotta get to it!"

"On it." Lissi, Van, and Cent rang out.

Van began dashing in between the faceless ones, cutting them at the legs while Centari charged his blades with holy light to cut at their heads. Lissi clicked her heels again, activating her boots as she shot up and over. The trio paused when they heard screams behind them, heads snapping in the direction. Some Faceless Ones had slipped past them and made it to the camp.

"Valarin!" Daen'niell shouted in fear.

"Arnois.." Lissi whispered in silent horror before calling down to Van and Centari, "Go protect the camp, I'll try to neutralize the blast."

"You got an invention for that?" Centari shouted but began running back.

"Something like that." Lissiana muttered to herself.

"You can't take it alone." Van began to argue.

"Drizz, Arnois, and the others are back there. The injured can't fight and not all of them can protect themselves. You're gonna have to just listen to me for once, Van!" Lissi shouted as she focused her flight again.

Van growled angrily but knew he couldn't argue since Drizztan and Juel were there. He quickly began fel rushing back to camp. At the camp, Valarin and Anning were busy trying to mend and protect the wounded from the onslaught. Arnois was encircled by Arcanists as he tried to set out orders to both defeat and protect. Magic flew and battle ensued. Members of the Phoenix were both in camp and down to help Annette, Fixit, and Daen'niell.

The C'thraxxi continued to gather it's spell while maddening whispers filled Lissiana's head. Her eyes searching for a weak point to disrupt.

"Shut up, Enzeciel!" Lissiana shouted angrily before her eyes went wide, "Crap!"

The C'thraxxi shot the spell, and the rogue maneuvered quickly. Her hands on a device as she moved between the beam and camp. Holding up the sword device and with nothing but the rockets to catch her, shadows began wrapping around the blade to absorb the magic as it tore at her armor and skin. Screams and shouts of fear and shock were a mere buzz in her ears as blood dripped from them. Feeling pure spite and rage fill her, she clutched the sword with shaking hands and lifted it overhead. The sword charged with void magic expanded and grew until it was nearly equal size of the C'thraxxi before she brought it down with a scream as her eyes turned black. Dust and rubble flew everywhere before settling on a fallen general and the faceless falling. The blade broke and fell before her body couldn't take what she had done. The rockets fried, puffing out a smoke and letting out a pop before the jets died and she began falling back towards the ground.

Light chained through several people before reaching out to catch the falling elf and help her land safely on the ground. Arnois called out more orders as he made his way through the camp to help begin pulling people free of rubble and shove away corpses of the Faceless Ones. Between those gathered, wounded were recovered and the rest of the enemies killed.

.

The voice became solidified in her head as she found herself trapped in blackness, staring down the spirit of Enzeciel. The mad grin on his lips, blood dripping from his hands, the bruises on his face and bullet wound to his chest all lingering from when she last saw him alive.

"You won't control me again." She growled, though found her arms and legs bound by the blackness of her subconscious.

"I already am." He cackled.

Upon the battlefield her body pushed itself up as shadows collected, stitching the wounds close and beginning to heal them. Her head rolling and neck cracking as she flexed her hands.

"Lissi!" Called Fixit behind her as the small group came running.

Annette was the first to notice and instantly grabbing Fixit and Val to stop them, "No!"

Daen and Cent glanced at Anne confusedly but then looked at the ground and saw the moving shadows.

"Look out!" Centari shouted, moving to tackle Arnois.

Val and Daen made bubbles of light around themselves, Anne, and Fixit. Shadows shot out and grabbed Van by the throat and impaled Centari in the back as if made of steel.

"Well well well.. What do we have here?" The dark voice spoke as she turned to look at the group, eyes black as the void.

Val, Anne, and Fixit began to shake and instinctively took a step back.

Coughing in pain, Cent shattered the shadow with Light before turning to face 'Lissi', "Damn it woman."

Drizz cut down the shadow around Van.

A quiet chuckle escaped, "How cute. Sadly this time I am ready."

Silence extended as a frozen wind began to blow around them. Anne and Val exchange a glance as Van and Drizz stared in confusion and betrayal. Centari narrowed his eyes.

"Everyone back u-" Centari began to order before being cut off as in a blur Lissi was in front of him, narrowly he caught the shadowed blade with his Light's hammer.

A wicked grin crossed her face, "You got faster." The dark voice let out another chuckle, "I will have fun tearing you apart."

The group backed up, Anne grabbing Fixit and moving quickly to get him some distance. Valarin grit his teeth, knowing too well that too many were around but he began gathering his shadows. Van scooped Drizz up and began jumping backwards, sensing the magic building in the air. Daen gripped Lok'nor to create a bubble of light around himself and Arnois.

A loud string of laughter escaped her lips, shadows raising from the ground, "None of you are going anywher-"

A set of explosions went off around her, causing her to stumble backwards and away from Centari as her arms instinctively raised to guard her eyes. A maniacal laughter echoed around them before dropping from above in a red and black harlequinn attire and wolf mask stood the infamous Jestah.

"Oops. Hope you don't mind if I DROP in." The lunatic grinned.

"Oh joy.. The madman is here." The voice scoffed harshly, gripping their shadow blades before throwing them at the joker.

Jestah peers the rogue woman over, a brow quirking momentarily as he moved out of the way, "I know ya were into ghosts but I think ya took it a tad bit far!.. Seriously who actually get's a ghost to go inside them?"

Lissi heard that and laughs in her mental prison, still struggling against the shadows, "Oh I'm never gonna hear the end of that one from him.."

Her body however grimaced at the joke, "I should cut that tongue from your mouth." Enzeciel growled quietly, momentarily forgetting their fight with Centari.

Jestah eyed the possessed body, noting the blackened eyes. He gripped his jester blade and threw it, causing it to fly through a shadow and attempt to hit them from behind while he rushed forward to slice with his normal blade.

"Hmph. Child's play." The being held a hand up, grabbing his normal blade with her hand, causing it to cut and draw blood while it's shadows stopped the flying blade.

"Don't be so smug." Centari let out a growl as his wings expanded, causing light to ripple out, causing the shadows to smoke.

"This trick again?" Her teeth clenched, Enz in full control as he quickly grabbed Jestah by the arm and threw the harlequin towards the light warrior.

Centari brought a hand up to catch Jestah, skidding back a few feet. Balls of Light shot out, hitting the shadows to begin dispersing them. Enz began flexing their hand in annoyance, shadows turning to blackened flames and rushing out in every direction at everyone.

"All of you will perish for interrupting me." The voice continued growing darker and hostile.

A glaive came flying, causing Enz to leer angrily as it cut Lissi's cheek. "Bastard, let her go!" Van shouted angrily.

Several gunshots began to unload around her, shooting through her hand and shins. The shadows quickly closing in to patch the wounds. Shadows shot out to try and penetrate the blackened cage holding Lissi in her mind. Enz continued growling as he glanced around at the group working together.

"So annoying." Her hands flexed, shadow flames creating a circle and beginning to expand, "Like gnats."

The scorched earth began shifting and moving and rising as shadowed smoke. The smoke solidified and charged at members of the band, eyes glowing red and claws reaching to claw.

Daen's brow twitched as he began expanding his bubble of Light to push back the shaowfiends. Van continued slashing through the fiends as gunshots rang out to disperse them. Jestah let out a few fits of laughter as he cut through them. Centari trying to keep Valarin protected while he tried to break the control.

"Why is this happening?" Arnois asked quietly, trying to hide the horror he was watching unfold.

"It's happening, because you are all puny weaklings." Enz growled out, void gathering in their hand before the shadow in 'Lissi's right eye dispersed and her green eyes look terrified.

Lissi had freed her hands from the mental prison, "You won't win this."

"Silence, sister. You will join the others soon."

Drizz began blinking around to avoid the shadowfiends.

Cent hissed, recalling, "Her bag. It should have a solution in it to inject her with to regain control. Someon-"

Shadows sent Cent skidding back, "Silence, whelp."

Drizz nodded at Centari's words, beginning to run and blink around in hopes to reaching her bag. Enz tried to reach to stop the teenager only for the part Lissi controlled to stop him.

"Drizz hurry!" Lissi hissed as shadows began to reclaim her.

Pulling the blue filled syringe, the boy reached up, stabbing it into her neck and pushing the plunger.

"No!" Enz turned towards Lissi within their mind as she ran at him to shove him.

Shadows ripped from her body and spilled out onto the ground, forming the male elf. He growled loudly as he began to stand. Lissi grabbed Drizztan and jumped out of reach. Val finished his spell, leaning over as he tried to catch his breath. The shadowfiends dispersed and others looked relieved.

"You haven't won yet." Enz charged towards Lissi. "Time to send you to Hel."

Lissi shifts Drizz behind her, Centari and Daen charging their Light. Van and Jestah tried to grab him only for him to slip through their fingers. Not even a shot from Fixit slowed him. Arnois finally pulled out his magic to grab the elf man's legs as Cent and Daen focused the Light to purify and end the jackass.

As the dust settled, everyone looked around for a moment as a few fell on their asses or knees.

"Lissi.." Cent breathed out.

"Yea?" She glanced at the paladin.

"You're buying drinks for a month." He fell on his back, causing a few laughs from others.

"Deal." Lissi fell on her ass.

Extra Moments [Joke Fic]

Inspiration: Guy I'd Kinda Be Into

The performers gathered for practice for the show that Sarah Hadley had organized. Most had been getting along when Taeon, one of the singers for Phoenixfire Productions had pulled the traveling bard, Levv aside.

"I see you getting along with Julia. I'm gonna help you catch her eye. Got it?" The man smirked, leaving the bard confused.

"Ok.. I'm not sure how that will work?" Levv tilted his head to the left.

"She's over in the practice stage. Go talk to her." Taeon pat his head then vanished in an over the top rainbow cloud of smoke.

Julianna waved at Levv and the two sat down as she took a drink. The quiet was uncomfortable when Levv felt a presence near by, but before he could comment Julia began speaking.

[JULIANNA:]
Say there's this person you pass in the hall every day
You've known him since seventh day
You're used to thinking about him in a certain way
From the persona that he displayed

Then something changes, and he changes

From a guy that you'd never be into
Into a guy that you'd kinda be into
From a guy that I'd never be into
Into a guy that I'd kinda be into

Is he worth it?
Levvy?
Is he?

[LEVV:]
Is she talking about me?

[TAEON:]
Of course she is. I've been activating your pheromones. Keep it up

[JULIANNA:]
Say there's this person that you never knew that well

[ENSEMBLE:]
She is totally into you

[JULIANNA:]
You thought that you had him pegged, but now you can tell
He's gone from a

[JULIANNA & ENSEMBLE:]
Guy that you'd never be into
Into a guy that you'd kinda be into
From a guy that I'd never be into
Into a guy that I'd kinda be into

[JULIANNA:]
Is he worth it?
Levvy?

[TAEON& LEVV:]
Absolutely

[JULIANNA:]
I don't always relate to other people my age
Except when I'm on the stage
And there are so many changes that I'm going through
And why am I telling this to you?
Guess there's a part of me that wants to

I guess a part of me wants, who knew?
I guess a part of me likes to talk to you
I guess a part of me likes to, who knew?
I guess a part of me likes to sit with you
I guess a part of me likes to, who knew?
I guess a part of me likes to hang with you
I guess a part of me

Back to play rehearsal
I know that it's weird but it's totally true

The guy that I'd kinda be into

[LEVV:]
The guy that you'd kind of be into

[JULIANNA:]
Yeah that

[LEVV & JULIANNA:]
Guy that I'd kinda be into

[JULIANNA:]
Is...
Joe.

The two boys just stared as they slowly pieced together who Joe was... Then it struck...

"The human guard that follows Hadley around?!" Levv's jaw dropped.

"Shh!" Julia covers his mouth.

Levv glanced at Taeon who just vanishes again from sight, the only thing he caught was the guys face turning red.

Husband

Inspiration: Dear Future Husband

The war was coming to a close, most people were celebrating and as such, most were off partying, allowing Charlotte time to just relax without fear of the company breaking something else. Vaul had decided to go meet Charlotte's family and stay the night at her parent's home to get to know them. The dinner had gone alright and the parents seemed to withhold any opinion of the man, but during the night Vaul had been given a small journal that was worn by years of neglect.

"What is this?" Vaul raised an inquiring brow at the father.

Nicholas smirked, "Something you'll need moving forward."

With that the old man went to his room, leaving the confused Vaul in the hall. The confused magi returned to the room to find his lover asleep. Sighing, he lit a candle to set near by as he began to skim over the books contents.

Dear future husband
Here's a few things
You'll need to know if you wanna be
My one and only all my life
Take me on a date
I deserve a break
And don't forget the flowers every anniversary
'Cause if you'll treat me right
I'll be the perfect wife
Buying groceries
Buying what you need
You got that nine to five
But so should I
So don't be thinking I'll be home and baking apple pies
I never learned to cook!

You gotta know how to treat me like a lady
Even when I'm acting crazy
Tell me everything's alright.

Vaul stared at the pages before he began to chuckle under his breath, hearing movement he closed the journal and tucked it in his bag before changing to join Char in bed.

The next day before the two were heading home, he convinced her to follow him out to the lake with no real reason behind it. Charlotte found herself surprised to see he had arranged a blanket and picnic basket for the occassion.

"What's all this?" She tilts her head as she looked at him as he gave her a fresh picked flower.

"Just thought you deserved it." He kissed her forehead.

Her smile lit up but she was still confused by the sudden show.

Later when they returned, Charlotte had left to handle some work at the base. While she was away, Vaul began reading more of the book.

Dear future husband
If you wanna get that special lovin'
Tell me I'm beautiful each and every night

After every fight
Just apologize
And maybe then I'll let you try and rock my body right
Even if I was wrong
You know I'm never wrong
Why disagree?

He continued chuckling to himself as he shook his head, why had she written this so long ago? He continued flipping pages.

Dear future husband
Make time for me
Don't leave me lonely
And know we'll never see your family more than mine

I'll be sleeping on the left side of the bed (hey)
Open doors for me and you might get some kisses
Don't have a dirty mind
Just be a classy guy
Buy me a ring

At the mention of the ring, he began to ponder and look at his old journals for dates. It had already been several years...

Balance

Inspiration: Mirror's Magic

A curse had befallen Vaul. Charlotte had been sent to another world, with no memory of anything. Their fates intertwined with merely a mirror. Soon their memories would begin mixing and changing with only the mirror holding the truth.

[VAUL]
I shall grant anything that you wish for
So won't you chant for me from the other side of this mirror?
Tonight, "Everything is the magic of opposites"
After all, I'm a magician meant just for you

In a dark room of a locked tower,
The only thing that resounded was my heartbeat
Shunned in contempt and hated out of fear
That is me, a prince loved by misfortune
During a storm, an uninvited guest arrived
It was a young man who smiled as he held a mirror in his hands
"Who's the cause of your misfortune?
Take a look into this magic mirror and see for it yourself"
Reflected in the mirror was a "fortunate girl"
My bewildered heart began to shake in doubt
"But what if it is truth?"
Had the entireness of my happiness
Been stolen awway by that girl?

My heart fell, dyed by hate
"Everything is opposite" on the other side of the mirror
It switched the balance of scales of fate
I came to forget everything

In a bright room of a tower which the sunlight shone upon,
Resounding through it were the voices of a crowd of people
Adored in respect and revered out of love
That is me, a prince loved by fortune
During an awfully sunny afternoon, an uninvited guest arrived
It was a young man who smiled as he held a mirror in his hands
"Who's the reason for your happiness?
Take a look into this magic mirror and see for it yourself"
Reflected in the mirror was an "unfortunate girl"
Why does your smile seem to be gouging out my heart?
"But what if it's the truth?"
Had the entirety of your happiness
Been stolen away by me on that fateful day?

My heart shook, dyed by grief
"Everything is opposite" on the other side of the mirror
The balance scales of fate were destroyed,
Reduced to fragments
By these hands of mine

My past which I should have abanndoned, those "memories of sin"
Why have they returned now, tormenting me so?
I had no other choice except to hate
So why is my heart hurting so much right now?
Reflected in the mirror are the "opposite" us
Is the amount of tears you shed the same as my laughter?
If "my happiness"
Leads to your curse,
Just what should I do to save you
Just what should I do to save you
"That's right.."
I shall...

Grant anything that you wish for
So won't you chant for me from the other side of this mirror?
Tonight, "Everything is the magic of opposites"
After all, I'm a magician meant just for you
I have already granted everything you ever wished for?
Then the magic of the mirror will end here
The palm of your fading hand met with mine
"I guess this is farewell" I said as I laughed
Will you be crying on the other side of this mirror?
It sure would be nice..
If I could see you again someday.

Just Gold

Inspiration: Just Gold (Duet)

Charlotte held a tight grip over the Brotherhood. Vaul being her shadow king while she was center stage. There was only one person who stood in their way of full control and they decided it was time to do something. Collecting the Draenei, they prepared a spell of domination to ensure total control.

[BOTH]
Time for the main attraction
The story must be told
Time for a chain reaction
It never gets old
Some guys get satisfaction
Breaking the mold
Some guys are just distractions
Some guys are just gold

[VAUL]
I'm not the bad guy

[CHARLOTTE]
I'm just a bit surprising

[VAUL]It's not worth losing sleep

[BOTH]
It's not worth analyzing

[VAUL]
There was a time
Not so long ago at all

[CHARLOTTE]
I was just like you

[BOTH]
Can you hear my call?
Now I'm popping in
Over here, over there
I'll be checking in
But you'll never be aware
In the beginning I kept a keen eye
On the state of affairs with the new guy

Now I got a new gig
(Let me know if ya dig)
Ain't going home so I better go big

[CHARLOTTE]
Just gotta glance at Cam 2B

[VAUL]
Then you get a little surprise

[BOTH]
IT'S ME

You may say that I'm breaking your mind
In my opinion you're much too kind

Time for the main attraction
The story must be told
Time for a chain reaction
It never gets old
Some guys get satisfaction
Breaking the mold
Some guys are just distractions
Some guys are just gold

[CHARLOTTE]
You did a good job

[VAUL]
Watching those little scenes

[BOTH]
It warms my minions and colleagues
To hear some fresh screams

[VAUL]
But don't get me wrong

[CHARLOTTE]
You were very brave

[BOTH]
When faced with friendly singing animals
You never caved

[CHARLOTTE]
I'm finished training, done explaining

[BOTH]
No more facts are left remaining

[VAUL]
Now you know the gist of it

[CHARLOTTE]
You're a perfect fit

[BOTH]
I don't want to hear no more complaining

[CHARLOTTE]
I'm passing down this Golden opportunity

[VAUL]
Eternal graveyard immunity

[BOTH]
Take it with pride and enjoy the ride
You'll forever be a part of this community

You may say that it's all in your mind
But in the end, I think that you will find

[VAUL]
You are the main attraction

[CHARLOTTE]
Your story must be told

[VAUL]
You are a chain reaction
That never gets old

[BOTH]
Some guys get satisfaction
Breaking the mold

[VAUL]
Some guys are just distractions

[CHARLOTTE]
Some guys are just gold

You are the main attraction
Your story must be told
You are a chain reaction
That never gets old
Some guys get satisfaction
Breaking the mold
Some guys are just distractions
Some guys are just gold

Why She's Bad

Inspiration: No Good Deed

After Vaul was slain and Ogrimskar freed, many accused Charlotte of having been apart of the coup due to her affiliation with the now dead lord. She was sentenced to be cut down as assurance from the rabbles of the crowds, but before she could be killed, she allowed her wrath to finally be unleashed. Tears streaming down her face as the bracelet fell from her wrist and the ground shook and opened wide, arcane whisps flowing out and lashing at everything before she disappeared.

She found herself landing in the snow outside the destroyed lab. Tears streaking down her face as she pushed herself up, gripping her bare arms as the howling winds of Icecrown rushed around her. Her hands burned with arcane wounds, pulsing from the overpower but she pushed through, shoving debris out of her way. Chanting to herself as things moved at her command, she felt Vaul's soul pulsing far away, and she would find it. She stepped over the body of dead demons before coming to a door that not even the council of magi could open.

She placed her hand over the vault, "They didn't believe me because of you." She clenched her fist against the metal door. "Was I ever really good though... Was it just the attention I desired? Is that what you made me?"

She heard whispers of the souls that lingered, she could sense the ley lines weaving near by, someone was coming. She focused the souls into her spell.

"I will take what is mine." She growled as she felt the souls rip through the metal, opening a way for her to storm in and grab the soul gem.

She held it to her heart, "If they won't accept me, then I will return those who did."

"Charlotte!" Aayan's voice rang out. "We know you're here. Don't run from us! We want to help!"

"No. You'll only be caught in this too." She told herself, tears freezing to her cheeks as her gaze became determination.

"Let all of Azeroth agree, I'm wicked through and through." She then called upon the spirits to inhabit constructs of snow and arcane.

"CHARLOTTE!" Aayan shouts as he sees her, only to be blocked by the guardians.

Once the guardians were cut through, all that was left was ruins.

Charlotte was gone.

Staring at her old home, she moved to slowly wander in. No one knew of its location in Silverpine and none dared wander near due to the feral worgs and worgen that still wandered the area. Even more so the undead that still fought for control of the area. She set the stone on a table and stared at it.

"Why... Why did you do this.." Her voice was weak as she slumped to her knees. "Why did you betray everyone... Betray me.. I was your pupil.. and yet you used my trust to trap others. Was I just a pawn?"

She clenched her fists against her knees, giving small hics as she tried to stiffle sobs.

"Even if I returned, the masses would have me hung. They'd kill everyone else that wants to help me." She slammed her fist on the ground, "You've killed us all!"

She covered her mouth with a bleeding hand, still suppressing sobs, "I must become the new enemy they despise.. Or else the others will die."

The soulstone pulsed, "Then conquer them."

Her eyes glowed a mixture of arcane and soul magic, frozen tears now burning. "I'll save them.. even if I have to become what they hate."

Voices

Inspiration: Voices In My Head

[OGRIMSKAR]
You gotta buy her a rose
Compliment her on her clothes

[AAYAN]
Say you appreciate that she's smart

[RICKLEM]
Nah, man, you tell her that she
Excites you sexually

[OG, AAYAN, AND RICK]
And that's the way you get
To her heart
Trust me, I know
How it's gonna go
Listen and oh!

[MATTHEAS]
And there are voices in my ear
I guess these never disappear
I'll let 'em squeal and I will deal
And make up my own mind
Might still have voices in my head
But now, they're just the normal kind
Voices in my head, but now they're
The normal kind!

[DANNA]
Just summon strength from within

[CHARLOTTE]
Don't get hung up on your skin!

[IZANAMIE]
She prob'bly thinks
That tendrils are hot!

[KHADOREK]
I'll throw you a rope, home slice
If you need some dope advice

[KHAD, IZA, CHAR, AND DANNA]
Now march on over
And give her a shot
Buddy, you'll see
It'll go perfectly
If you listen to me, me, me!

[MATT]
And all there are voices all around
And you can never mute the sound
They scream and shout
I tune 'em out
And make up my own mind
Might still have voices in my head
But now, they're just the normal kind
Voices in my head, but now they're
The normal kind!

[TALI, spoken]
I still remember how it felt...
It's embarrassing to find out, deep down I just want things to be easy

[MATT, spoken]
Yeah... but who wants things to be hard? ...
Look, I almost destroyed the guild... maybe all of human civilization...
I know that the last thing I deserve is another shot, but, um-

[TALI, spoken]
Just say what's on your mind, Mattheas

[MATT, spoken]
Lunch? Just the two of us?

[TALI]
And any voices in our heads?

[MATT]
There might be voices in our heads
But I swear, the voices there
Will be the regular kind

[TALI]
Me and the voices in my head
Have made up our collective mind

[MATT]
What do they say we should do?

[TALI]
I think that all of us want
To go out with you

[ALL]
And there are voices in my head
So many voices in my head
And they can yell and hurt like hell
But I know I'll be fine

[MATT]
Still have

[ALL]
Voices in my head

[MATT]
Yeah, there are

[ALL]
Voices in my head

[MATT]
Of the voices in my head
The loudest one is mine!

[VAUL]
Matty...

[MATT]
Loudest one is mine!

[VAUL]
You can't get rid of me that easily!--

[MATT]
Loudest one is mine!

[VAUL]
Matheas...

[ENSEMBLE]
Na nananana nanana na nana na
Na nananana nanana na nana na
Na nananana nanana na nana na

[MATT]
Let's go!

[TALI]
C-c-c-come on, c-c-c-come on, let's go!

[MATT]
C-c-c-come on, c-c-c-come on, let's go!

[ALL]
C-c-c-come on, c-c-c-come on, let's go!
C-c-c-come on, c-c-c-come on, let's go!
C-c-c-come on, c-c-c-come on, let's go!
C-c-c-come on, c-c-c-come on, let's
Go!

Dear Child of Mine

Inspiration: Dear Theodosia

Alex smiled as he held his son in his arm, eyes lighting up at the pudgy cheeks of the baby. A few rooms over, Peter was holding his wife and their daughter, kissing the woman's forehead. As the weeks went on, the young adults all joke and smile. For a moment there is a time of peace.

[PETER]
Dear Irezi, what to say to you?
You have my eyes. You have your mother’s genes
When you came into the world, you cried and it broke my heart
I’m dedicating every day to you
Domestic life was never quite my style
When you smile, you knock me out, I fall apart
And I thought I was so smart
You will come of age with our young nation
We’ll bleed and fight for you, we’ll make it right for you
If we lay a strong enough foundation
We’ll pass it on to you, we’ll give the world to you
And you’ll blow us all away…
Someday, someday
Yeah, you’ll blow us all away
Someday, someday

[ALEX]
Oh Jackie, when you smile I am undone
My son
Look at my son. Pride is not the word I’m looking for
There is so much more inside me now
Oh Philip, you outshine the morning sun
My son
When you smile, I fall apart
And I thought I was so smart
My father wasn’t around

[PETER]
My father wasn’t around

[ALEX & PETER]
I swear that
I’ll be around for you (I’ll be around for you)

[ALEX]
I’ll do whatever it takes

[PETER]
I’ll make a million mistakes

[PETER/ALEX]
I’ll make the world safe and sound for you…
…will come of age with our young nation
We’ll bleed and fight for you, we’ll make it right for you

If we lay a strong enough foundation
We’ll pass it on to you, we’ll give the world to you
And you’ll blow us all away...
Someday, someday
Yeah, you’ll blow us all away
Someday, someday

World Turned Upside Down

Inspiration: Yorktown

(I want it stated this is purely FANFICTION and is in NO WAY Cannon. People mentioned have given permission to be spoken about.)

The world had been plunged into chaos. The forces of the Old God had been quelled, and Azshara slain. The Horde and Alliance had routed out the leaders that lead to so many deaths due to the unneeded faction war. Prides shattered and people wounded, no one had the strength to fight the new threat that rose. Arrogance and temperance had led to instill hatred. Many fled under the banner of Blackheart- A human noble with the promise of power and security. The training under the new leader was vigorous for those that served him, though the power he instilled left many craving more. As the Horde and Alliance began rebuilding their cities and returning to a relatively peaceful life, no one saw the attack coming. First many were killed when both Mage District and Valley of Spirits were set ablaze. Before anyone had chance to recover and learn who all had fallen from their families, a small bomb went off on the wall of the Alliance held Lordaeron and the Elder Rise of Thunderbluff. Reports of mass attacks filled all reports as neither the Horde or Alliance could place what was happening. Townsides were ravaged and citizens dare not sleep for fear of what would happen next. The final straw was when a mass explosion of both engineering and magic went off in Dalaran, rocking the city and leaving the Kirin Tor struggling to keep the city afloat, leaving their libraries open and taken advantage of as books of high magic are taken. Soon each site that had been hit had a large apparition appear in the sky.

"We are the Knights of Change. As you can see, your people are weak and easily cut down. Join us and we will change the world for the better. Those who resist will be brought to their knees and enslaved like the mindless they are." The apparition of the man spoke.

War broke out all across Azeroth, the Knights constantly pushing and pressuring the Horde and Alliance, keeping them apart and unable to support one another. The Kirin Tor are put to land as their magics, even with aid of the Blue Flight, are crushed and beaten back.

All seemed lost until some of the more hidden islands of Neutral Forces and Mercenaries came up.

The Battle of Stromgarde.

"Monsieur Ogrimskar." The Sin'dorei grinned.

"Monsieur Vanlador." The Dwarf grunted.

"In command where you belong." The elf pat the dwarf's shoulder.

"It's how you say, no sweat." The dwarf shrugged, "We're finally on the field, We've had quite a run."

The two smirked, "Mercenaries. We get the job done."

"So what happens if we win?" Og peered up at the elf.

"I go back to Org. Bring freedom to my people if I'm given the chance." Van spoke, staring out at the wall of the enemy soldiers trudging towards them.

"We'll be with you if you do." The dwarf gripped his hammer.

"Go. Lead your men." Van began to spread his wings.

"See you on the other side." The Death Knight put his helmet on.

"Till we meet again. Let's go." The Demon Hunter flew off.

I am not throwin’ away my shot!
I am not throwin’ away my shot!
Hey yo, I’m just like my country, I’m young
Scrappy and hungry
And I’m not throwin’ away my shot!
I am not throwin’ away my shot!
‘Til the world turns upside down…
‘Til the world turns upside down!

"I imagine death so much it feels more like a memory. This is where it gets me: on my feet, The enemy ahead of me. If this is the end of me, at least I have a friend with me. Weapon in my hand, a command, and my men with me. Then I remember my Lissa’s expecting me...Not only that, my Lissa’s expecting. We gotta go, gotta get the job done. Gotta start a new nation, gotta meet my son!" Flaxin thought to himself as him and the Intoxication crew prepared to ambush the knights from behind.

Over in the hills overlooking the city.

"Take your bullets out your gun!" Luke ordered his men.

"What?"

"Take your bullets out your gun!" Luke demanded.

"What!"

"We move under cover and we move as one. Through the night, we have one shot to live another day. We cannot let a stray gunshot give us away! We will fight up close, seize the moment and stay in it. It’s either that or meet the business end of a blade ain't it? The code word is ‘Rochambeau,’ dig me?" Luke told his men.

Rochambeau!

"You have your orders now, go, man, go!" Ogrimskar thought to himself. "And so the Alliance experiment begins. With my friends all scattered to the winds."

Vanlador is in Southern Durotar, redefining brav’ry.

"We'll never be free until we end slavery!" Vanlador shouts to his men before cutting the chains off goblins.

When we finally drive the Knight away
Elaianna is there waiting-
In Stormsong Bay!

How did they know this plan would work?
They had a spy on the inside. That's right.
Izanamie Swesky!

A tailor spyin’ on the Knights government!
I take their measurements, information and then I smuggle it
To my husband's revolutionary covenant
I’m runnin’ with the Sons of Liberty and I am lovin’ it!
See, that’s what happens when you up against the ruffians
We in the shit now, somebody gotta shovel it!
Izanamie Swesky, I need no introduction
When you knock me down I get the fuck back up again!

After a month of fighting, a young man in a black coat stands on a parapet.
We lower our guns as he frantically waves a white handkerchief
And just like that, it’s over. We tend to our wounded, we count our dead
Red and Blue soldiers wonder alike if this really means freedom

"Not. Yet." Ogrimskar sneered, walking towards the man.

We negotiate the terms of surrender
I see Sir Ogrimskar smile.
We escort their men out of Stormwind

They stagger home single file
Tens of thousands of people flood the streets
There are screams and church bells ringing
And as our fallen foes retreat
I hear the drinking song they’re singing…

"The world turned upside down." Voices sang.

The world turned upside down
The world turned upside down
The world turned upside down
Down
Down, down, down

"Freedom for Alliance, Freedom for Horde!" Van shouts.

Down, down, down

"Gotta start a new nation! Gotta meet my son!" Flaxin grins.

Down, down, down

"We won!" Iza shrieks.

"We won!" Luke screams.

We won!
We won!
The world turned upside down!

Blood Vengeance

Inspiration: Who You Are

War against the San'layn had raged on. After Aayan and Grant's slaughtering of their fortress, many of the more war like members of their group had taken an oath to avenge their fallen leader. Taking up the mantle had been his brother, who loathed mortals. He did not share the kindness that was mercy, he did not share the ideals of taking mortals and changing them. He sought vengeance, with only one goal in mind. As the Brotherhood were separated to take out the threats in various regions, Lord Alrenir sought out Aayan, knowing just how to take his revenge. Once the two found one another, he isolated them with a blizzard.

"You think I'm afraid of you, Bloodsucker?" Aayan shouts as he gripped his blade.

"If I thought you would fear me, I would have sent someone else." Alrenir sneered, "So tell me, how does it feel knowing you will be the tool of their undoing?"

"What are you talking about?" Aayan glared into the eyes of Alrenir.

Alrenir grinned as his eyes glowed deep crimson, "You fought to save your leader... And now you will be the one to kill them all."

Aayan told himself to lunge and slay the man, yet he felt his muscles tense and lock, keeping him from moving. His gaze could not waver from the man before him and he felt his body moving on its own. He could not call to his dragon allies as they were guarding his family. He was alone... or so he thought.

"Aayan!" Charlotte's voice rang out through the blizzard, causing the men's head to turn to see her figure pushing and fighting against the wild winds.

Oh no.

Aayan wanted to shout for her to flee, yet his lips remained closed.

"Well isn't this delicious. The first victim comes straight to us." Alrenir chuckled to himself, licking his tongue over his fangs.

"Aayan!" Charlotte's voice grew closer before finally breaching the wall of snow.

He felt his body tense once more before turning to face her, grip tightening around the hilt of his blade as her gaze fell upon him.

"No.." Her lips trembled before looking past him to scowl at the San'layn, "You monster! Give him back!"

"As you wish." The San'layn snapped his fingers and Aayan charged at his friend.

Charlotte stood her ground and looked at Aayan, "Snap out of it! This isn't you!"

As his blade came towards her, Charlotte stepped closer, "This is not who you are!"

The scent of blood filled the air as the blade pierced her chest. Aayan's rage built in him and he found himself able to regain control.

"Who you truly are.." Charlotte's words hung in the air as her body fell from the blade and her gaze grew distant.

His heart beat in his ear as he stared at her, rage and sorrow building before he let out an anguished cry and charged the San'layn.. Only to find him gone.

Crush (Part 1)

Inspiration: Yuukei Yesterday And Make a Move

The young heirs to the Legacy of the Brotherhood of Valor were out training as usual. The magical advances that had been brought on allowed them all new technology to practice against as well as use for downtime. One such item was the Arcane Pod, that allowed them to use ear pieces to listen to music instead of their teachers (much to the older generations chagrin). Hope was a well versed and practiced Paladin thanks to her father and mother, but she was also well versed in the new Arcane Games that came with the well used Arcane Tablets. Having grown up shy and nervous around others, she soon grew distant and threatening with her skills... Except to one. Peter Gunrik. Peter, unlike his father, was rather relaxed and laid back, constantly showing up late to practice and was often seen with some sort of snack on him to munch on during training. Despite his slack, he was still a natural talent when it came to combat training. Though Hope often would be seen berating Peter for his laid back nature and pinching his cheek to drag him along to practice, group gossip was often the other children laughing about how they'd be married.

"I'm telling you, they're totally dating." Brianna nodded to herself, the young half elf getting a devilish smirk, as her raven hair was tied back.

"Nonsense. Peter is hopeless and no way is Hope gonna admit anything." Argued Kheli.

"Hm.. Perhaps they just need.. A little push?" Mused Eldrin as he got a grin. "I've got an idea."

The girls looked at him curious.

"Follow my lead. I need you three to SOMEHOW get Hope dolled up. I'll handle Peter." Eldrin nodded to them before vanishing through a portal.

"I hate when he does that." Brianna sighed, dropping her head.

The twins and Bri managed to kidnap Hope and drag her off to be dressed up.

"What are you doing!!" Hope exclaimed at them in the dorm room.

"You gotta look pretty or no boy will approach you." Kheli insisted.

"I don't want a boy to approach me!" Hope stomped her hoof.

"Oh shush, we know you like Peter." Bri teased.

The draenei began to flush, "D-Do not!"

"Uh huh." The trio look unimpressed with her attempt to lie as they finish her make up and hair.

"This is ridiculous. We should be training!" Hope continued to fight.

Elsewhere..

"What do you mean she likes me?" Peter blinked, looking lost.

Eldrin sighed, "I've told you three times! She likes you and I'm gonna help you get her on a date!"

Appearing from the shadows, the Half Elf twin of Bri showed, Caelin grinned, "Dude he's not gonna understand. Also here, stole these from your dad."

"By stole you mean took off his table when he wasn't looking?" Eldrin rolled his eyes at Caelin.

"Well yea." Caelin shrugged.

Peter looked between them as he was forced into dress clothes.

"Alright. Put this in your ear." Eldrin ordered the older teen.

"Okay.. And I'll be able to hear you through this?" Peter put the device in his ear.

"Yup!" Caelin gave thumbs up.

Watching the two groups trying to push the duo towards each other, Sebastian and Moria were sipping their coffee.

"This is going to fail horribly." Moria said between drinks, leaning on the railing as she watched the group of teens.

"If he hurts Hope, I'm killing him." Seb grumbled as Moria kept a hand on his shoulder to keep him from intervening.

"He's a Gunrik.. He's probably gonna trip on his shoes before he'd do anything to Hope." Moria reminded him.

Seb chewed angrily on some cookies, scowling at the groups.

Youth Squad

Inspiration: Ready as I'll Ever Be and Good for You

With their parents and guardians gone to once again defend Azeroth from the invasions of the Void Lords, the now grown children were expected to stay back and defend their home from any would be attempts to destroy the base. There was only one problem. Izanamie, the woman who was meant to guide the young adults and teens was missing. Alex, being the oldest of those still able to stand and fight, took the mantle on himself. He was prideful and wanted to show that he was still worthy as both the next Lord for both the Gunrik House as well as the Hereford House. The situation was a struggle, Eldin, Izanamie's son, along with Mary, Alex's sister-in-law, both demanded they set out to find the missing woman, but Alex refused, saying they had no resource or experience in trying to track her, plus she was a well trained caster and can handle herself in a situation.

That is when the argument ensued as word came back from Peter that his radar had picked up void entities on their way.

"Any moment now, Your 'Highness', the void will be on us." Alex sneered at Eldin and Mary, "Believe me, I know. I've sunk pretty low, not searching for a missing woman. But whatever I've done to upset you, you've deserved."

"Alex-" Mary tried to intervene.

"Quiet." Alex ordered, looking down on the woman, "I'm the bad guy, that's fine. It's no fault of mine, and at last some justice will be served." He turned his head to gaze out the window towards the incoming void storm, he rose from his seat and moved to gather his armor and weapons, "Now it's time to stand up or it's time to stand down, and there's only one answer for me. And I'll stand up and fight 'cause I know that I'm right, and I'm ready." He heard Mary slam the door as she left, sighing, "Ready as I'll ever be."

Frustrated, Mary stormed out to address what troops and Youth Core remained to rouse them for battle, "Now it's time to rise up, or it's time to stand down, and the answer is easy to see. And I swear by the sword, if you're in, get on board. Are you ready?"

"I'm ready!" Raised John's sword, causing the others to echo, "I'm ready!"

Mary murmured to herself, "Ready as I'll ever be."

Along the wall Peter and Cami stared and began preparing the defenses.

"Are you quite sure we can do this?" Peter asked quietly as he began preparing his arcane cannons.

"Together we will guarantee that lives come back." Camilia spoke calmly, despite the panic she felt flowing through her system.

"I'll make them hear me." Alex told himself as he got on his horse, preparing to lead the charge.

"I'll prove they can trust me." Mary spoke to herself as she readied her sword and shield.

"I'll save my home and family." Camilia glared at the void entities that began appearing, readying her staff.

The soldier's began chanting.
Now the line's in the sand, and our moment's at hand!

"And I'm ready." The young adults said.

"Ready as I'll ever be." Alex clashed with the entities.

The battle raged on, the side of the Youth Core able to hold the line, but one stray spell from a cultist of the void found its mark and struck Cami in the chest, causing her to fall from the wall. Heartbeats were all that Mary, Peter, and Alex could hear as they turned to their fallen Lady of the House. With divine fury, Mary led the charge to push back the void, Light rising from her very being. Peter let all defenses rain down on the enemy, while Alex turned and fled to check on his fallen wife. Phaeth and Kheldi were there first, quickly moving to stabilize the woman and get her moved to safer grounds. As the fight died down, arguments broke out as Alex lashed out at everyone around him for Cami's condition. Finally, enough was enough.

Mary decked Alex in the face while tears ran from her eyes, glaring down at her brother-in-law as she began to speak, "So you found a place where the grass is greener-" she gestures to her fallen sister, "And you jumped the fence to the other side. Is it good? Is she giving you a life we could never provide?"

Alex scowled at her as she walked closer to him, shoving him to the ground and planting a booted foot on his chest, "Well I hope you're proud of your big decision! My sister is injured and there are troops demoralized from the death of their friends! I hope it was all that you want and more! I hope you're free from the agonizing life you lived before!"

She kicked his side, "Having all the nobles eyes on you that you'd risk everyone! You bastard son of an abuser! And you say what you need to say! So that you get to walk away! It would kill you to have to stay trapped, When you've got something new. Well I'm sorry you had it rough, And I'm sorry I'm not enough. Thank Light they rescued you! So you got what you always wanted, So you got your dream come true. Good for you! Got a taste of a life so perfect, So you did what you had to do! Good for you!" She screamed at him as the tears flowed heavy before Peter escorted her out of the medical building.

Good for you! Her words echoed in his head as he began feeling the pain and guilt build in him. As he stood, Phaeth caught his attention. She gripped her clipboard with Cami's medical sheet.

Shadows cast over her face, tears brimming, as the young teen spoke, "Does it cross your mind to be slightly sorry? Do you even care that you might be wrong? Was it fun? Well I hope you had a blast while you dragged us along."

As Alex left with Phaeth holding the door for him, Peter went to grab him by his tunic and slam him into the wall, "And you say what you need to say! And you play who you need to play! And if somebody's in your way, Crush them and leave them behind!" Peter's nostrils flare as him and Phaeth continue, "Well I guess if I'm not of use. Go ahead, you can cut me loose! Go ahead now, I won't mind." At that, Phaeth shut the door behind them and Peter shoved off of Alex, the duo walking to Mary's side as they all left.

As they left, Mary paused to turn and throw more words at Alex, "I'll shut my mouth and I'll let you go. Is that good for you? Would that be good for you, 'Your Highness'?"

The trio spoke in unison, with mixtures of sadness and anger, "I'll just sit back while you run the show. Is that good for you? Would that be good for you?"

Their words cut into Alex. I'll shut my mouth and I'll let you go! Is that good for you? Would that be good for you! I'll just sit back while you run the show. Is that good for you? Would that be Good for you?

As they left, Alex slid down the wall and gripped his head as he cried to himself, "All I need is some time to think. But the boat is about to sink. Can't erase what I wrote in ink? Tell me how could I change the story? All the words that I can't take back.. Like a train coming off the track. 'Cause the rails and the bolts all crack. I've got to find a way to stop it! Stop it! Just let me out!"

So you got what you always wanted
So you got your dream come true
Good for you
Good for you, you, you
Got a taste of a life so perfect
Now you say that you're someone new
Good for you.
Good for you.
Good for you.
Good for you!

"So you got what you always wanted." Alex eyes shot open as he looked up at the image of Cami speaking to him, her image staring down at him with blood dripping from her mouth and pale eyes.

Stay Alive

Inspiration: Stay Alive

Note: I should really stop listening to Hamilton one day...

War had broken out when word had spread of Vaul's treachery to seize Ogrimskar. Unbeknownst to the Corrupt Lord, his apprentice had released the General to gather the forces against those loyal to the Lord. Soon though her treason was found out and she was put under a spell to remain unconscious and used a power conduit for the rising army.

Things grew more complicated as several of the main medics and fighters were several months along their own pregnancy for their family in what they had thought would be a time of peace. Standing within the safety of a secure bunker, the three woman, Izanamie, Lilsadiir, and Teraalla, stood looking towards the rising sun as they knew the battle would soon come to its peak.

Stay Alive...

Gunshots rang out into the distance.

Aayan and Khadorek worked to fill reports to the Gilded Lotus, asking for aid but with little word on if they would come. Ogrimskar began discussing battle with Jabbles and Sebastian. They knew that Vaul knew most of the Brotherhood and their strategies. And as such he had Charlotte trapped and access to her knowledge. They needed someone Vaul had no clue how to counteract. They made the bold choice to list Rick Lem to guide a portion of the army to engage with Vaul's main military force.  There was just one problem...

"Attack!" Ogrimskar would shout to his units.

"Retreat!" Rick would shout to his own.

Ogrimskar furrowed his brows, coming up to Rick, "What are you doing?!"

"There's too many of them!" Rick argued back.

"Oh I'm sorry, is this not your speed? Jabbles take over." Og ordered loudly.

As the battle raged on, they barely beat back the knights of Vaul. Soon they were readying their camp and mending their wounded. Soon Rick would begin kicking up a fuss.

"Ogrimskar cannot be left to his devices, indecisive from crisis to crisis. The best thing he can do for this war is to go back into Stasis." Rick would protest.

Aayan went to Og, demanding the gnome be reprimanded but Og decided they had other things to worry about then a mouthy short stump.

"Bold words from Lem, someone outta hold him to it." Spoke Jabbles, arms crossed.

"I can't disobey orders." Aayan sighed, thinking of Iza.

"Then I'll do it." Jabs grinned.

"What about your wife?" Aayan raised a brow.

"She'll kick my ass then we'll probably have sex. Nothing unusual." Jabbles shrugged, marching to go challenge the Gnome.

Bystander

Song: Bystander

[Tesravi]
O, How I wish that I weren't alive
How I've been saying that since I was five
Tedious days and years went by
All I ever did was whimper and whine
The people in my vilage were all so fair
With eyes like gems, and beautiful red hair
They whispered and chattered and looked at me with spite
For my hair was tinted with a ghastly white

Secretly hidden deep inside the woods
An old oak tree- A thousand years withstood
There I was standing with tears in my eyes
Praying to Light with languishing sighs
Wretched a Life is when lived alone
With nobodies company but your own
I dare not ask for much from where I stand
Just a person who could hold my hand...

I found her next to the ancient tree
Her fragile body limp and weak
With no one around, I had to try my best
Carefully nursed her back to consciousness!
Gradually, naturally, our lives entwined
I learnt to leave my lonely days behind
She became everything that I had got
Despite being everything that I was not.
Gleaming like Rubellite in the sun
Her hair was more enchanting then anyone's
Her face was fair and her voice was bright
Captivating anyone at first sight

Why would she show love and sympathy
To one whom was so unworthy as me?
Could it be pity I saw in her eyes?
Were the oaths of friendship only white lies?
She took me into her arms as I trembled with fear
Her soothing words flowed into my ears
"Never had I met another as beautiful as you are"
Hearing that, I broke down into tears
They can laugh and mock my ways
Hurt me with enmity and hate
They can shame me
Slander me into disgrace
I won't fear, I won't cry
I have you by my side
You who gave me all the worth I need inside

We fled from the village into town
Found some work and settled down
Things there were different in every way
But with her I was happier each passing day
Gradually, naturally, we started a new life
Working for a rich merchant's wife
Even with these hardships we pulled through
The bond between us, it only grew
One day in the mansion we met a man
With colbalt gear and thus began
This sickening story of jealousy and rage
When he met her everything started to change
He was king of the lands across the sea
He fell for her and so did she
Rejected the love of the neighboring queen
Lighting the fuse of destiny!

The land was devoured by the roaring fames of war
Merciessly, the queen- she swore!
"See to it that all the women with red hair are dead,
They shall thrive in these lands no more!"
Everyone I loved and cared,
Not a single one was spared
Except me, Beacause of my colorless hair
Why can't I die in her place?
Why do good lives go to waste?
Does this all boil down to unchangeable fate?

O, How I wish that I weren't alive
How I've been saying that since I was five
Tedious days and years went by
All I ever did was whimper and whine
Aimless and lost, I started serving a Lord
Working in a church next to a port
The breeze brings in rumours of the death of the Queen
Executed at the guillotine!
I found her right by the choppy sea
Her fragile body limp and weak
With no one around I had to try my best
Carefully nursed her back to consciousness
Gradually, naturally, our lives entwined
I learnt to leave my lonely days behind
She became everything that I had got
Despite being everything that I was not.

In the confessional at night I overheard
Her admitting her painful crimes, each and every word
Ah, a flood of emotions ran through my skin..
So that was the story of..
The real lady of sin.
On the small little shore where the giant big waves roar
She walked there alone, her feet cold and sore
I followed and walked up from behind her
Pulling out a knife I took to kill her
Raising it up to finally have my revenge
It's for you my friend!

There's an apology I'd like to make
To you whom is safe in Light's embrace
In the end I made a different call
I could not avenge your death after all
She must feel what I felt a long time ago
Full of loneliness, full of woe
Wretched a life is when lived alone
With nobody's company but your own
The girl who couldn't do anything before this
Learnt how to cook and bake her favourite desserts
She made brioche for us today at tea
I have to say she's done it perfectly
What was that image that flashed in front of me?
That fateful night when we were by the sea?
Who was that young man who threw himself between us
As if protecting someone...
Precious?

The two became friends and feelings grew. When they left to work for the local noble (Vaul) and his house, they were visited by the King of the Magi- Aayan, who instantly fell for Iza. Issue is, Charlotte, the Queen of San'layn asked for his hand instead, to mend old wounds and for her own secret infatuation. When he rejected it for Iza, Charlotte sent Sebastian, her human Blood Knight, to kill the women who matched Iza's description. This led to a war between Magi, Humans, and San'layn. Sebastian had aided in the Queen's escape, shifting to look like her so all thought she was executed. She arrived ashore where Tes had moved. The night that Tes discovered the truth and went to exact revenge, Sebastian's spirit came and washed over her with Light's Warmth to soothe her and she soon learned Charlotte was a dumb youngling who had no idea what she was doing and took pity on her.

First Burn

Inspiration: First Burn

Caterina stood over the roaring bonfire in the town square, throwing letters into the flames as Edwin was brought forth by the guards, wrists shackled in silver. The midnight stars twinkle dimly for what was to come, as the moon hid behind clouds.

"Cat- Please!" Edwin began to beg, "It was a simple mistake. I didn't mean to-" He found a gag to meet his mouth.

"I save every letter you wrote me. From the moment we met, I knew you were mine.. Or so I thought." Caterina began, still staring into the inferno, "Do you know what Moria said when I told her what you had done?"

He swallowed hard.

"You have married a Blackfyre, he flew too close to the sun." Caterina's lips curled into a snarl as she tried to hide the tears.

He jerked against his chains to try and move closer to her.

"Don't take another step." She ordered, turning to look at him with red eyes, "I can't be trusted around you.. How could you.. No.. Don't think you can talk your way into my arms." She turned back towards the fire, throwing more papers in, "I'm burning the letters you gave me, you can stand over there. I don't know who you are.. Moria is right, I have so much to learn.."

The crowd murmured amongst themselves as Edwin fell to his knees, lowering his head.

"You published the letters she wrote you." She accused in a harsh tone, "You told the whole Kingdom how you brought this woman into our bed- just to clear your name of something I could've made go away. You've ruined our lives!" She grips a hand in her hair, scoffing lightly, "Heaven forbid someone whispers 'He's part of some scheme'. Your enemies whisper so you have to scream." She choked for a moment before continuing, "I know about whispers. I see how you look at my cousin."

Edwin felt his heart drop to his stomach.

"I'm not naive. I see how women are around you. All of them clinging to your every word. I see how they fall for your charm!" She dropped her hand, picking up the box of the rest of the letters and throws it in the bonfire, "I'm erasing myself of you. Let future historians wonder how I reacted to being betrayed."

Finally she turned to meet his gaze, burning hatred in her swollen eyes.

"And when the time comes, Explain to the children, the pain and the misery, you put me and them through!" Her hand rests on the bump on her stomach, clenching her fingers over the silk cloth, "When will you learn. They were your legacy! OUR Legacy! If you think you're still mine.. Don't." And with that, she snapped her fingers, the guards dragging him away to not be seen for a long while.

Caterina falls to her knees, weeping as she put her head in her hands. Several community members running out to hold and soothe her, glaring at Edwin's back as he disappeared into the darkness.

Reborn (Party 5): Truth

Inspiration: Apologize, Location, and Nothing to Lose.

Standing, she found herself in a silk robe. Slowly the human woman would walk towards the sound of an infant’s cries. Staring, she saw the San’layn holding a child in his arms and gently rocking it. Her heart began to thump loudly in her ear as she felt herself pulled towards the child.

“This is Illya.” The man spoke, “This is my daughter that you will guard with your life.”

“Where is her mother?” Charlotte asked softly as she peered into the dull amber hues of the baby.

“Dead.. Killed by huntsmen long ago.” He spoke, a faint frown tugging on the corner of his lips.

“My condolences.” She murmured quietly.

“Soon she will be yours as well, I hope you will treat her as such.” The man gave a nod to Charlotte, slipping the child into her arms.

“I will look after her as if my own.” She smiled as she stared down into the little girl’s pudgy face.

Back in present day…

Charlotte quickly sat up, peering around and moving to the crib side. “They’re coming, we don’t have much time.” She muttered to herself, pausing to slip the bracelet onto the infant before scooping her up.

She would begin to draw a portal rune in the air when the Lord arrived. “Another has shown himself. You two must leave, you remember where I told you to go?” He wiped ash from his eyes.

“Yes, and you promise to meet us there?” Charlotte spoke with panic in her voice.

“I promised, didn’t I?” He planted a kiss on each of their foreheads before turning to begin casting a seal on the door, “That should slow them.”

He then melded into the shadows to head to his next location.

Aayan kept down the hallway where he detected the magic of the bracelets. “Hold on Charlotte, I’m going to get you out of here…” Aayan said dragging himself along the wall, his hands dripping blood from where the necrotic spell had wafted over him. Aayan reached the door. “I don’t have much magic left in me...anymore and I won’t be able to cast another spell. But I have to risk it all.” Aayan began to work on dismantling the seal on the door with the last of his magical stores in the runes.

Charlotte was still drawing an arcane portal rune in the air when she sensed the spell on the door breaking down. She spoke in Thalassian, summoning an arcane guardian to watch her back as she worked.

A runeblade would appear through the door and Aayan kicked it open looking more than worse for wear. “Charlotte! Please, you’ve got to come back to us!” Aayan pulled his blade from the door and entered into the room. “You’re being controlled and I really don’t want to do this next thing to you! The effects of it take weeks to wear off!”

The infant began to cry, Charlotte trying to hush it as she shot a glare towards Aayan, “You just want to keep me from my family!” She growled towards him.

“Family!? That man kidnapped you! You’ve been turned into a San’layn against your will! That family you have are a bunch of bodies! You’re still alive and I’ll make you see it!” Aayan quickened his pace inside with his sword drawn ready to strike her. A cut is all that may be needed.

The arcane guardian would move between Aayan and Charlotte, her eyes glowing with power as she continued her teleportation runes. They were nearing finish.

“Damn fool!” Aayan began to charge into the Arcane Guardian. “Charlotte! I won’t let you get away!” Aayan began to swing his runeblade against the arcane guardian, his hands screaming in agony from the rot, blood dripping as he gripped the sword. “Fight it, FIGHT IT! Don’t be controlled! Look into my eyes, Charlotte! Don’t you dare turn away!”

The scent of his blood caused her to stop, the burning in her throat becoming more present. Her fingers tremble and begin to lose focus on the rune, still clutching Illya close. She tries to shake her head, remembering her purpose but finding it hard. She turns to scowl at him, watching the guardian get sliced in two.

“Come back to me! No, come back to us! You’re our friend and leader!” Aayan took out a knife and stabbed himself in the arm to entice her with more blood. “Don’t leave!” Aayan started to try and concentrate as much mana as he could, what little remained, maybe it would be enough to disrupt the portal, he hoped he had time.

The burning of her throat caused her to drop the spell, rubbing at her neck as she keeps shaking her head violently. She holds the infant with both hands and begins backing up against a wall. Her guardian and teleportation failing from her loss of concentration.

“You’re not one of them!” Aayan lowered his sword. “I can’t leave here without our leader, after all that’s happened, I won’t leave here without you.” Aayan walked over and held out a hand. “Let’s go back to base, Leader.”

“You’re crazy.” She spoke, though a tear escaping her right eye as she keeps pressed against the wall, “I’m a monster, not your leader. I’m best left here.”

“Charlotte…” Aayan sat down beside her. “Long ago, with the Argent Crusade, I lost my sister. She dedicated her life to saving people who many thought were beyond hope. She brought so many people back...Death Knights, Forsaken...but in the end she couldn’t save herself. She became a monster too, you’re not all gone yet…And I refuse to give up, you’ll find me rather persistent...after all I am your Quartermaster.”

“Your people.. Your leaders.. They hunt and kill us. I am not risking my daughter’s life on such falsehoods you speak.” There was confusion in her eyes as they glowed red, her hunger still fighting her.

“Your daughter? You’ve not been away for enough time to have a child. That one isn’t yours...you’re being controlled to become a nanny.” Aayan leaned back, still bleeding. “Fine, cut yourself with my Runeblade, if you still think the same way, I will let you go….willingly.” Aayan was looking pretty pale.

“Why should I cut myself upon your blade?” She stares him down, noting his paleness. She reached her free hand out towards him to begin using blood magic to mend his wounds so he can speak.

“Solace...has a very particular enchantment on it...when I made the Runeblade, part of my soul was entrapped in the blade. It took my will and made it manifest...the ability to let others see what I see. Solace is a weapon of pacifism. I often used it to stop fighting...tried to stop as many of the Horde as I could with it…” Aayan looked at Charlotte. “If I strike you, or if anyone makes contact with it, they will see my thoughts to avoid conflict. It may give you the right state of mind.”

“Sounds like you are the one trying to control my mind.” She scowled once more at him, moving to plant a foot on his chest and force him on his back.

Aayan grabbed her foot and was forced onto his back. “There is no control...only a reflection. Those who have strong wills can choose to not be affected.” Aayan tried to lift her foot off.

She kept her foot pressed against him, “How do I know you speak the truth, human? You’re a mage and could merely be casting a trick to imprison me.”

“I can assure you...I’m really out of mana right now. Also, Human? Charlotte my name is Aayan.” Aayan sighed and put pressure against her foot to make sure she didn’t break ribs.

“Magi always have a trick or two.” She mutters but pauses to look at the blade, then shakes her head, “How’s about I simply bite you instead?”
“If that would make me prove my point...After all I’ve got no elf blood in me…Well, you shouldn’t do that, because the truth is One point seven litres….That’s how much holy water a person needs to drink to give their blood the same effect.” Aayan didn’t like the thought of being bitten. “If you do bite me, I must warn you of something I also put into place.”

She presses her foot into his hand that was fighting her, “So you would poison your blood to stop me?” She leaned down, close enough he could probably cut her himself.

“If I wanted to stop you, would I have bothered to tell you my precautions? Or does trying to appeal to your reason not work when you get forcibly changed?” Aayan quickly pulled up on his blade, trying to cut her, with a small cut. Seems that logic aspect and appealing to emotion has failed.

She was cut! Her eyes went wide as she stumbled off of him.

“Sorry about that...you were behaving a little crazy, have to get another will into your head.” The feelings that would be hitting her as the blue energy seemed to flow into her was that of defense, caring, and a deep rooted sadness. The thoughts of Aayan were determined to bring her back, the experiences they had driving him to come to her aid. Flashes of memories and beratings that were funny and troublesome. “What you’re seeing is me to you, completely unblemish and unhidden.”

She was dazed as the memories come flooding back, she gripped Illya for dear life as she fell back against the wall and slid down into sitting. Her mouth agape as she found no words to speak.

“Really sorry about that...You might keep feeling like that from anywhere to a few hours to a few weeks. I had to get you to see what I saw. And why I can’t just let it go.” Aayan said, almost using Solace as a cane.

Tears began to brim from her eyes, her mind twisted and tugging in multiple directions and it showed as she appeared to be fighting herself. Wanting to both stand yet sit, legs twitching and body shaking, her eyes kept changing between anger, confusion, sadness, and joy.

Meanwhile…

Deep inside the fortress, the Lord of the Manor was busying himself with setting up a large, complex rune made of charcoal on the cobblestone floor. His ears twitching to listen for anything though not paying too great amount of attention as he began to sprinkle enchanting dust over the rune.

The stone wall made a sound of it being bashed open, he turned around to see an outstretched hand reach out for him, the arm wrapped around the San’layn’s neck to pin him onto the wall. A familiar voice was heard muffled on the other side of the wall “Did you miss me?”. The San’layn’s robes were coated in dust and rubble as another hole was punched in through the wall. Grant’s head poked out of it, his collar lowered to reveal his long white beard, with his jaw wide open to bite down hard on the neck of the San’layn, much to his surprise.

He struggled to break free but that only make it easier for Grant to bite down harder on his neck, he felt Light magic pouring into his body at an alarming rate, making the part of the neck that was bitten visually glow and crack. Grant finally let go of the San’layn and retreat back into the wall, the elf falling down and quickly back up away from the wall and holding onto the bite mark with much surprise.

Grant on the other side of the wall could be heard coughing and spitted on the other side of the wall, “By the Light, your blood tastes foul! It tastes like someone left fish to rot in the sun for a month.”

“What the ever-loving fuck is wrong with you?!” The Lord screeched, staring down the clearly insane man.

Grant began to kick down the stone walls in his way between him and the San’layn, speaking out as he did such, “You tell me, you’re the one that does this for a living.”

“Why would a MORTAL bite a San’layn?!” He scowls in bewilderment.

Grant managed to make a big enough hole in the wall so he could get closer to the San’layn, his collar lowered to reveal a devilish grin on his lips. Grant taps on his own neck as he speaks, “Holy magic is painful for someone like you, deadly even. I injected a fair bit of holy magic into your body, enough to cause your body to betray you and wither away. The process will be excruciatingly painful.” He chuckled softly, placing a hand on his hip, “I figured it would be a poetic way to kill you.”

The Lord’s eyes went wide as he began channeling magic. Time to zoinks out!

Grant’s hand extended out to summon a brief flicker of shadow magic to silence the San’layn, causing his magic to no longer answer him for the duration of the spell. “Oh, the horror on your face is sweet, finally feeling the sting of mortality again?” Grant began to remove his gloves to reveal his skin to be cracked by the Light, the cracks glowing gold from the magic within it. “You have a week, and there's no creature in this world and the next one to save you, it'd sure be a shame to have you just process the horror and not be here long enough to see it come through fully.”

Grant’s hand went up to grasp onto his hat “You may have escaped death, but there is nothing you can try to escape me. I know for certain I am much more sadistic when it comes to my victims than death.” He tossed his hat to the side to reveal a pair of pure golden eyes staring down at the San’layn, a wolf staring down its prey before the kill. “The fear in your heart is sinking in, but I want it to erupt into a spectacle. I'm going to crash down everything you’ve ever built, and there is nothing you can do but run. A fate more merciful than the thousands of lives you’ve brought to ruin due to your gluttony and pride.”

His body flared up in vibrant golden light, the earth began to quake and rumble under the powers he began to command, the mansion they stood upon bursted into holy fire, the quakes of the earth signaling the doom of the building. Its fate to crack down into rubble.

He stood, moving his hand from his neck that was flaking and blackening from the light turning on him. He tried to make his way for the door, clearly concerned about something other then his impending doom.

Grant began to follow behind, walking forward as the mansion begins to crack and crumble slowly under the pressure of the power he was channeling, “Not used to running it seems, you should learn fast.”

“Madman.” He mutters as he rushed through the hallways.
